Malta police detain 8 suspects in blogger murder probe

Maltese police arrested eight suspects on Monday as part of an investigation into the murder of blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said. Her car was blown up on October 16 while she was driving. All of the suspects are Maltese nationals and most have criminal records, Reuters reports, citing the PM. Galizia, 53, ran a popular blog in which she highlighted cases of alleged high-level corruption, targeting politicians from across party lines.
