120 Russian teenagers in horror Turkey ‘holiday’

One hundred and twenty Russian teenagers have endured a holiday from hell in Turkey. First, their plane was forced to return to Moscow and then, after changing planes and arriving in Antalia, the group faced chaos at their holiday resort.

Their ordeal began on Monday when the Boeing aircraft they were on was turned away from Antalia airport because it had no clearance to land. After returning to Moscow and changing planes, the teenagers finally arrived at their destination in the early hours of Tuesday.

As if their flight was not enough, the teenager’s hotel then turned them away, citing a mix up over the number of rooms booked.

When they finally found somewhere to stay, up to 7 people were housed in each room because the tour operator had failed to allocate them accommodation.

Over 30 children were reportedly housed at the nearby hotel named Flower.

RIA Novosti news agency cites Russia's general consul in Antalia, Mirdzhalol Khusanov, as saying the situation is under control now. 118 of the 120 kids have happily got their rooms – with their own beds, he stressed.

This contradicts a statement by one teenager’s mother, whosaid on Friday that about 8 children had no room and were still sitting on their suitcases in the hall of the hotel.
