Putin, Macron reaffirm commitment to implementation of Iran nuclear deal

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron in a phone conversation on Tuesday discussed ways to resolve the Syrian conflict, the Kremlin press service said. They also focused their attention on the situation surrounding Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for Iran’s nuclear program. Russia and France reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of the agreement between Tehran and world powers, according to the statement. The Russian president offered condolences to Macron over the May 12 terrorist attack in Paris.
