Reporters Without Borders ‘worried’ about arrest of Russian journalist in Ukraine
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has expressed concern about the detention of Kirill Vyshinsky, who heads RIA Novosti Ukraine, by the Kiev security services. The international NGO said in a statement that it is “worried about the arrest” and called on the Ukrainian authorities to “either precisely explain how the alleged actions [of the journalist] constituted high treason or release Kirill Vyshinsky without delay.” It also said that “the charge of high treason and pre-trial detention are extremely serious measures.”
