Saudi Arabia resumes Red Sea oil shipments halted by Houthi attacks

Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih says shipments through the narrow strait, which links the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea, will resume on Saturday, according to AP. He added that the Saudi-led coalition, which invaded Yemen in 2015, took “necessary measures” to ensure the security of the shipments. Saudi Arabia’s state oil company, Aramco, suspended shipments on July 25 after Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired on two oil tankers.
