UK didn’t request extradition of Russian citizens in Salisbury case – embassy

The Russian embassy in London said it hadn’t received an official request from the UK to extradite two men reportedly suspected of carrying out a nerve-agent attack on British soil. The statement denied an earlier report about the request by the Guardian. “We do not trust such unverified bogus media reports at all,” the embassy said, noting that there were “no less than a hundred such leaks attributed to unnamed sources” since former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found unconscious on a bench in Salisbury in early March. The UK said they were poisoned by a Soviet-designed nerve agent and blamed Moscow for the attack, but was unable to produce any proof to support its allegation.
