Saudi Arabia intercepts 2 missiles fired at Jizan by Yemen’s Houthis – report
Saudi Arabia intercepted two missiles on Friday fired by Yemen’s Houthi group on its southern Jizan province, according to an Al-Arabiya TV report. The Houthis’s Masirah TV earlier announced firing a number of ballistic missiles at Jizan, and one missile at a Saudi military base in Aseer province. Both Jizan and Aseer provinces lie on the border with Yemen. In a separate statement, the Houthi group welcomed on Friday a call by the United Nations for an independent investigation into Saudi-led coalition airstrikes that killed dozens of people a day earlier, including children traveling on a bus, Reuters said.
