Salah trolled by Liverpool teammate Lovren with incredible lookalike video

Salah trolled by Liverpool teammate Lovren with incredible lookalike video

Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren and Mo Salah are never shy to trade some online banter and this time it was the Croatian’s turn, as he jokingly trolled Salah by sharing a video of a man bearing an incredible likeness to the Egyptian.

Lovren took to Instagram to share the clip, which shows a car driving past a man who is pushing his bicycle along while dressed in a Liverpool kit with ‘Salah 11’ on the back.

As the car drives past it becomes just how evident the uncanny likeness is, as the people inside the vehicle – clearly not Lovren himself, based on their distinct Scouse accents – are heard to shout, “Yes Mo, what are you doing round here, kid? Mo Salah, Mo Salah, running down the wing!”

The exchange elicits a laugh from the Salah doppelganger before the video ends.

Lovren did not mention where he got the footage, but tagged Salah when sharing the clip, writing: “He wanted some time for himself, so he took his bike after the Southampton game and managed to get in a record time to Liverpool. (11hrs-52min),” along with three laughing emojis.

Salah replied a few hours later by posting laughing emojis of his own, followed by a facepalm.

The Croatian was jokingly referring to Salah’s exploits in helping Liverpool to a crucial 3-1 win over Southampton on Friday, which keeps their hopes of a first league title in 29 years well and truly alive.

Salah got on his bike during that game – metaphorically speaking – running half the length of the pitch to hand the Reds a 2-1 lead, before teammate Jordan Henderson sealed the game.

It was the Egyptian’s first league goal in nine games, and couldn’t have come at a better time for Liverpool as they returned to the top of the Premier League table, one point ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

Next up for Lovren, Salah and Liverpool is a Champions League quarter-final first leg against Porto at Anfield on Tuesday night.
