5 injured in German school shooting

5 injured in German school shooting

An 18 year old is thought to be responsible for a school shooting in north west Germany, which has left 5 people injured. The former pupil of the school opened fire and threw smoke grenades before taking his own life.

Three students, a female teacher and the head caretaker were wounded.

Twenty others – mostly police officers, suffered smoke inhalation.

A farewell note on his website, which has been blocked by police, states that he acted out of general frustration in life.

He was due to go on trial on Tuesday
