Thai Queen in Russia for jubilee celebrations
The Queen of Thailand is in Moscow for a ten-day visit at the invitation of Russia's President, to mark the 110th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Relations between Russia and Thailand began in July 1897, when the Siamese King visited Russia.
To commemorate the event, Queen Sirikit laid wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the centre of Moscow. Her Majesty will open an exhibition of Thai craftsmen in the Kremlin, and then travel to the second largest Russian city, St. Petersburg.
