Hurricane Dean forces Endeavour's early return

The U.S. space shuttle Endeavour has undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) to head back to Earth. NASA ordered the space shuttle to return fearing Hurricane Dean in the Caribbean could disrupt flight operations.

Hurricane Dean is expected to strengthen and achieve the highest category five storm status as it passes over Jamaica and nears Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

The storm has already swept through the Eastern Caribbean and claimed at least six lives. Across the Caribbean, residents are stocking up on emergency supplies, and alarmed tourists are hurrying to leave so as to escape the storm.

Dean is the first major hurricane of the Atlantic storm season.
