Mass opposition rally underway in Tbilisi

An opposition rally has begun in the centre of the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, with organisers claiming 100,000 people will attend. The leaders of the country's opposition parties say the rallies will continue until their demands are met.

The opposition blames the country's government for not working constructively with them.

The opposition promises that thousands of the supporters will gather on the square in front of the Parliament to demand free and fair parliamentary election this spring.

“We don't think that negotiations with the government will have any result, if protest on the streets of Tbilisi is not really massive,” Kakha Kukava, the opposition leader, said.
