Interview with Evgeny Khrushchev

The U.S. President says Iran remains a threat. That's despite an intelligence report saying Tehran stopped its nuclear arms programme in 2003. RT military analyst Evgeny Khrushchev puts Bush's latest remarks into context. 

Evgeny Khrushchev thinks the new intelligence report will not change the main thrust of Washington's policy towards Iran, which is regime change. 

“Whatever the rhetoric emanating from Washington DC, for Tehran everything is crystal clear: by hook or by crook Washington wants to change their regime,” he pointed out.

According to Khrushchev, “nothing that intelligence professionals put on the table will make any difference. Because Presidentn Bush is not intimidated by facts, reality, or the complexity of the world's shifting dynamics.”

RT military analyst stressed that “ the U.S. intelligence has already admitted their mistake in previous intelligence assessments.”

Khrushchev believes that “now it's up to the U.S. administration to take the first step and to utilize this opening for a diplomatic rapprochement between Iran and the U.S.”

“There is a real clash between two leaders. In fact, both nations are hostage to a mutual misunderstanding,” he mentioned.
