Interview with Irina Kobrinskaya

The EU is going through changes affecting the Russia-EU relationship. Irina Kobrinskaya, political analyst from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, shared her ideas on the current Russia-EU summit.

She says no breakthroughs can be expected from this summit, though it may become a turning point in Russia-EU relations, which are not in exactly good state now.

“Now both sides understand that they have to solve the practical matters and to come to something which is bigger and more important, a new agreement. This time it's energy and trade. Russia is open to negotiations with the EU” said Irina Kobrinskaya.
