Interview with Irina Kobrinskaya

The previous Russian Government, headed by Viktor Zubkov, was formed nine months ago with the prospect of Putin succeeding his as the new Prime Minister. That’s according to political analyst Irina Kobrinskaya.

The expert believes that was the reason why the Government saw no major reshuffle.

Kobrinskaya also cited reports that opposition leader Grigory Yavlinsky was offered a post in Putin’s Government. She said it was a signal that the Government is becoming friendlier toward liberal forces.
