Russia's Strategic Missile Forces celebrate their 47th year

This year Russia's Strategic Missile Forces have received the new Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles. It has become a sort of present on their 47th anniversary.

Some 8,000 personnel of this armed forces division are celebrating this holiday while on duty. They have been congratulated by the Head of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexy II.

The professional holiday was established by presidential decree in 1995.
