“Afghanistan’s government should be frustrated with itself”

The government of Afghanistan is responsible for many problems, many of which are due to corruption and incompetence of its government officials, says Vanda Felbab-Brown from the Brookings Institution.

Earlier, the President of Afghanistan said he is willing to have peace talks with the Taliban if he is re-elected in next month’s poll. Hamid Karzai also said he wants rules for foreign troops to be re-evaluated.
