More than two thirds of Ukrainians want President Viktor Yushchenko to step down. According to a poll by the Centre for Social and Market Research, 63.7% of respondents said 'yes' to an early retirement of Mr Yushchenko.

The Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich fairs considerably better with 33% of Ukrainians expressing total confidence his leadership.

Yulia Timoshenko, another prominent Ukrainian political leader, enjoys public confidence of more than 10%.

But, the current President, Viktor Yushchenko, only managed to inspire trust in just over 8% of the population.
