International observers to arrive in Russia on Wednesday
A group of 25 observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, or PACE, are due to arrive in Russia on Wednesday to begin monitoring work.
They plan to hold meetings with the four presidential hopefuls as well as other officials before travelling across the country to oversee the elections.
In all, around 300 observers are due to monitor the presidential poll, representing 32 international organisations.
