Chessboard Killer says life term unfair

Aleksandr Pichushkin known as the Chessboard Killer, has appealed against the sentence which he considers unfair and too harsh. He was sentenced to life in prison for 48 murders and three attempted murders.

Pichushkin was nicknamed the Chessboard Killer for marking off his victims on the 64 squares on a chessboard.

He claimed to have killed over 60 people.
