Former Gitmo prosecutor fired after speaking out on prison policies

A former Chief Prosecutor at Guantanamo Bay says he was fired from his job at the Congressional Research Service for criticizing policies concerning the prison.

“Even though the Library of Congress has a published policy which encourages the employees to write, speak and teach on area if it not related to their official duties, the unofficial policy is being afraid to offend the Congress with something we say, so no one expresses opinion on any topic,” says Colonel Morris Davis, ex-division head at the Congressional Research Service.
