Dozens wounded in southern Russia suicide bombing

A suicide bomber attacked a traffic police post in the southern Russian republic of Ingushetia, wounding at least 23 people, including 10 children.

Russian news agencies reported that on Thursday, an unidentified attacker drove a stolen car loaded with explosives into a stationary traffic police post in Ingushetia’s largest city of Nazran.

The bombing took place when a group of Interior Ministry troops passed by the post.

Local police report that 23 people – traffic policemen, military and civilians – were wounded by the blast. The bomber was killed in the attack.

In a separate incident on Thursday, two agents of the Russian security service, the FSB, were killed in Nazran as attackers fired on their car with automatic rifles and grenade launchers.

On Wednesday, two people were killed as their car exploded while driving in Nazran. Police said that the car drove close to a police station, but then turned around and started to move away.

Policemen opened fire and the car exploded. Investigators said that the car was carrying a powerful bomb.
