“Al-Qaeda threat a US bluff”

Al-Qaeda is not a threat to the US but only an excuse used by the American leadership to justify its military campaign in Afghanistan and other countries, according to journalist and filmmaker Nir Rosen.

Rosen has traveled extensively in the Middle East, spending several months in the region each year.

“What we’ve done is increase this amount [of Muslim extremists] significantly by killing thousands of innocent Muslims,” says Rosen.

A recent incident involving a terrorist who attempted to blow up a Detroit-bound plane on Christmas Day was a revenge attack, Rosen is convinced. He says US foreign policy is a breeding ground and a “justification” for more terror.

“If you don’t want Muslims to attack you, stop killing them,” the filmmaker says.
