“The only way to get pan-European security for NATO is involve Russia” - expert

"The old security system is not working quite well,” according to Samir Shakhbaz from the Russian Information Agency.

“We had the Kosovo issue, we had the issue of South Ossetia and Abkhasia. So you have to agree that the old system doesn’t work. The position of the Russian government is that we are open to any negotiations,” Shakhbaz told RT. “We proposed a security plan. We made the first move. Now they have to answer. They have to say what they like, what they don’t like. We have to work step by step and find a consensus. I think it’s the only way.”
