Red Devils, Gunners reinforce amid crucial battle

Both Manchester United and Arsenal welcome back key players for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have to score on Tuesday to give themselves a chance of making the final. And they're relieved to have striker Robin Van Persie back in the side. The Dutchman missed the first leg with a groin problem.

Although at the back, former United defender Michael Silvestre is in doubt for the Gunners.

But whatever the line-up – boss Arsene Wenger firmly believes his side will have the quality and home-crowd support to overturn the one-nil deficit.

Meanwhile, United say defender Rio Ferdinand should be fit. Ferdinand trained with the squad on Monday after picking up a bruised rib and lung in the first leg. And he'll be a crucial member of the back four as United try to defend their slender one-goal advantage.

Left-back Partice Evra is also expected to start after injuring his ankle against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Cup holders United are aiming to be the first team to successfully retain the trophy in the Champions League era.

Meanwhile, Thierry Henry is likely to miss Barcelona's Champions League second leg match with Chelsea.

The striker got injured in the Primera Liga clash on Saturday that saw the Catalans destroy old rivals Real Madrid 6-2.

Henry was reported to be out for two weeks with a knee problem. However, Barcelona say the Frenchman is not ruled out of the up-coming match yet.

The first leg in Spain ended in a 0-0 draw, with the second leg due to be played at London's Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
